Oh look, another forged post from Jay!  See how the posting path and the posting host are similar to Jay’s posts from his "normal" email address.  Read the thread "Forged Post" for further details. Sick, Jay.  I have been saying for a year and half that you were nothing but a sophisticated troll with a thin veneer of respectability that dissolves when you are squeezed.  Face your detractors head on Jay because this is downright cowardly.  For all the incredibly stupid faux pas you’ve made over the last year or so, this one really takes the cake.  Forging posts is only the second worse netiquette blunder one can make, just after spamming. | Jeanne Hinds               | "Criticism is something we can     | |                            |  avoid easily – by saying nothing, | |                            | doing nothing, and being nothing." | |                            |   Aristotle                        |

The main players I see annoying everyone to distraction are jeanne hinds, you and the spammers. > Look at this like the US nuclear deterrent.  If it wasn’t for the US > nuclear strength, the former Soviets or Chinese would have attacked us

you got some bigtime delusions. > If it wasn’t for us, Jay would be totally out of control and would have > destroyed this newsgroup long ago.

*Why* do we need someone to keep their eye on Jay?   Personally, I don’t have anything against you, Jay or Jeanne.  But I am annoyed about this stupid thread that comes up over & over.  I just keep reading that we must be protected from Jay but never told why or what it is that he is doing that upsets you so much. I have been following this ng since March and I have never seen anything that Jay has done (except this thread) that particularly upset me. I just wish that the newsgroup is kept to those who are either planning a wedding, have recently planned a wedding, family members of those planning a wedding, people in a wedding or are vendors with _useful_ information.  Whatever your petty gripes are about – take it to email. Let us please try & end it here – Kellie

Kellie, It is precisely because we are keeping our eye on Jay that he doesn’t do anything to annoy people to distraction. Look at this like the US nuclear deterrent.  If it wasn’t for the US nuclear strength, the former Soviets or Chinese would have attacked us years ago. If it wasn’t for us, Jay would be totally out of control and would have destroyed this newsgroup long ago.  Because of us you are able to freely discuss issues such as wedding traditions, processionals, caterers, etc. We perform a valuable service that many have already acknowledged. Kelley, Whats the deal with the French Canadians and why do you people feel you have to kiss their ass?  Boot them out of Canada and let them stew in their own juices. Anyway, alt.wedding is a vapid newsgroup for clueless people.  Most of us are sick and tired of reading, for the five millionth time, that they are so excited that they have received a 1/4 carat diamond engagement ring from some idiot who will cheat on them in six months. However I digress.  Some of us are here to keep Jay Dyson in line. Without us watching him, he would be totally out of control.  Be grateful that we are acting in your best interests. Steve
