Question:

I’m sure this question has been addressed many times before but I would be really intereseted in hearing anyone’s comments, ideas, and/or suggestions about a wedding on a budget.  Our wedding won’t be until the end of 2000 but as I think most people would agree, you can never start planning too soon. Here is some info. on our general wishes: we don’t want the wedding in a church, would probably have about 50-75 people in attendance, and would like to spend between $5,000-$7,000. With prices I’ve heard for weddings these days this might be an impossible task but any info. on keeping the costs low, types of places to have a wedding/reception would be great, comments from other couples that may have had a budget this tight.  Quite honestly, we’re very flexible at this point since we haven’t started making plans and neither one of us has an image of the perfect wedding implanted in our minds. With 50-75 guests, it actually shouldn’t be that hard to stay within that budget. Reception costs are the biggest and the fewer people you have, the less it will be. My fianc
