Most Unusual Ceremonies

I’ve heard of a couple who got married in Lappland, Finland at the New Year’s Eve. The ceremony was outside on the snow in the darkness. They had candles on the show and the alter was made of snow. They’re also lucky enough to have Northern Lights in the sky. Very impressing moment, but not my style. Pirkko "I’m a stranger here, myself" Johnny Guitar, 1954

I saw a couple get married the other day while ski-diving out of an airplane! The preacher made the jump with them along with the wedding party. They even jumped in line like you would in a church wedding. I consider that the most bizarre wedding I have ever seen. Well, I haven’t SEEN any good ones, but if I ever owned my dream horse (a white/grey horse of the appropriate breed for the dressage/jumper showing I do), I would fantasize about finding an EXTREMELY tolerant officiant, riding my horse up the aisle, and being lifted down at the altar….:) Heh heh. — JJ Nice Young Lady ™ and Woody the Crazy TB and Tigi the Elegant White Kitty at Mom’s House

I once saw a wedding photo of a couple where everyone in the picture was naked. That’s one way to cut costs. :-) –Nancy Reynolds
